The Art and Science behind creating a photorealistic Jungle Book

October 28th, 12:30PM - Viewconference 2016, Turin (Italy). This talk is presented by Rob Legato, VFX Supervisor for the film The Jungle Book. He has previously worked in large productions such as Titanic, Harry Potter and Avatar.

Rob delights us with a series of making of and behind the scenes videos and artworks showing, for example, the techniques they used to create some shots, by filming live-action videos inside indoor studios using the chroma-key technique, and then how they gradually added levels of detail in compositing post production, until reaching the final scene.

I do not have all the sequences, but I in next videos you can watch some contents very similar to those has been shown during the talk.
